IN THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF SCIENCES OF UKRAINE
Resolution of July 7, 2016 No. 123 The Presidium of the NAS of Ukraine has decided to hold elections for the following heads of scientific institutions under the Presidium of the NAS of Ukraine in the second half of 2016:
Institute for Problems of Mathematical Machines and Systems;
Institute of Telecommunications and Global Information Space;
State Institution "Dobrov Institute for Scientific and Technological Potential and Science History Studies of the NAS of Ukraine".
In accordance with the requirements of the Law of Ukraine "On Scientific and Scientific-Technical Activity" (hereinafter referred to as the Law) and the Basic Principles of Organization and Activity of the Scientific Institution of the NAS of Ukraine, the Presidium of the NAS of Ukraine shall, within two months from the date of this announcement (until December 1, 2016), accept proposals for candidates for the position of heads of the specified scientific institutions. Proposals shall be submitted to the Department of Scientific and Management Personnel of the NAS of Ukraine (room No. 323) at the address: 01601, Kyiv - 30, Volodymyrska St., 54.

The right to nominate candidates for the position of director of a scientific institution of the NAS of Ukraine is held by: the Presidium of the NAS of Ukraine, members of the NAS of Ukraine, the Academic Council of the institution, and the teams of scientific departments of the institution.
A candidate for the position of head of a state scientific institution must be fluent in the state language, have a scientific degree of Doctor of Sciences or Doctor of Philosophy and work experience in the positions of scientific workers and (or) scientific and pedagogical workers of at least 10 years.
A person cannot be nominated as a candidate for the position of director of a scientific institution in cases provided for by the Law (Article 9) and the Basic Principles of Organization and Activity of a Scientific Institution of the NAS of Ukraine (Clause 4.4., Section IV).
The following documents of the candidates should be added to the proposals for candidates for the position of head of a scientific institution of the NAS of Ukraine: written consent to run in any form, a scientific employee's questionnaire (personal personnel record sheet) with a photo, an autobiography, copies of the taxpayer identification number, the first page of the passport, diplomas of higher education, certificates of awarding scientific degrees and academic titles, a list of scientific works, a statement of work activity from the main place of work, consent to the collection and processing of personal data in the form of the State Service of Ukraine for Personal Data Protection.
