A joint meeting of the Working Group of the Analytical Center of the Agrarian Union of Ukraine on Innovative Development of the Agrarian Sector and Center for Innovation and Technological Development Dobrov Institute for Scientific and Technological Potential and Science History Studies of the NAS of Ukraine

Innovations have long become the driving force of the development of the world economy. Scientists in Ukraine, and especially abroad, are traditionally among the leaders of the global innovation process. However, in Ukraine their potential still remains blocked.

How to unlock the potential of Ukrainian intellectuals and direct it to the benefit of another leader of the world economy - the agricultural sector of Ukraine? How to get quick results? How to radically increase and promptly improve macroeconomic indicators and make them adequate to the available resources of Ukraine?

All these issues were discussed at a meeting at the Dobrov Institute for Scientific and Technological Potential and Science History Studies of the NAS of Ukraine - the central scientific institution of Ukraine in the field of supporting the development of the national economy, an indispensable consultant to the committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, central executive bodies, a member of leading international organizations that are concerned with the development of the world economy and international markets.

The meeting was led by the Deputy Director of the Institute, Head of the Center for Innovation and Technological Development Vyacheslav Solovyov. The event was attended by leading Ukrainian scientists in the field of innovative development Vasyl Holovatyuk, Volodymyr Denisyuk, Igor Makarenko and other employees of the Center. The head of the Analytical Center of the Agrarian Union of Ukraine spoke with information about the specialized legislative and regulatory field and the application of the norms of current legislation in practice, about the possibilities and necessity of transforming the achievements of Ukrainian scientists into modern technological products, about methods of assessing the potential of domestic innovations and introducing mechanisms for its release, about the protection of intellectual property rights of producers of innovative products Larysa Starikova and doctoral student of the Institute Arthur Lee. As a result of the meeting, decisions were made to carry out a pilot project for the transformation of the Doctor of Economic Sciences Vasylya Holovatyuk in the field of investment attractiveness of the innovative sphere of the economy of Ukraine in the assets of the Institute and a number of innovative products that can help radically solve the issue of transferring the economy of Ukraine to innovation rails, accelerate the implementation of the Association Agreement and the unification of the European scientific research and innovation space.

The agricultural sector of Ukraine has already partially demonstrated its extraordinary economic potential. It has obvious export successes, has demonstrated the possibility of achieving prosperity not through the redistribution of financial flows, but through the implementation of property rights and hard work. However, thanks to its success, it has also attracted the attention of both domestic and international raiders. And while the former work mostly at the “knife and sledgehammer” level, the latter use much more subtle methods. The lack of innovative development in the hands of the latter will become and is already becoming a “killer” argument in favor of removing the national producer from using its main asset – the land. We have already seen all this in the process of industrial privatization at one time and today we see the same around the issue of land sales.
