A person with a doctorate in historical sciences may apply. A person who has expressed a desire to participate in the competition (hereinafter referred to as the candidate) shall personally submit the following documents:

- Written application addressed to the head of the organization about participation in the competition;
- A copy of the identity document;
- Completed personal card (questionnaire) of the established sample;
- Autobiography;
- A copy of the work book (if available);
- Copies of documents on higher education, advanced training, award of an academic degree, award of an academic title, military ID card (for military personnel or those liable for military service);
- List of scientific papers published in domestic and/or foreign (international) peer-reviewed professional publications. Candidates may provide additional information reflecting the results of their scientific activity: patents for inventions that have passed qualification examination; monographs (sections in collective monographs); links to online scientific profiles;
- Certificate of scientific activity;
- Written consent to the processing of personal data;
- A copy of the military ID card with all marks.
