The State Institution ‘Dobrov Institute of the NAS of Ukraine’ carries out methodological, research and organisational, forecasting, analytical, educational and methodological functions, and coordinates and scientific and methodological support of scientific research in the field of history, management and the organisation of science, undertaken by research institutions and higher education institutions of Ukraine, provides them with scientific and methodological assistance in training scientific personnel in the profile Institute. The Institute cooperates with the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Science and Education, The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, ministries, departments, scientific institutions, enterprises and organisations in Ukraine. The Institute, together with the Ukrainian Society of Historians of Science, unite and coordinate research into the history of science and technology in Ukraine (both professional historians of science and and scientists in various fields who study the history of the development of their discipline). At the Institute works republican seminar on the history of science (Yu.O. Khramov). Ukrainian society Historians of Science is a public scientific organization that unites on a voluntary basis researchers in Ukraine working in science and technology. The Society aims to:

• consolidation of historians of science of Ukraine and use of their creative activity and intellectual potential in the interests of spiritual revival and development of science and culture;
• promotes the development of historical and scientific research in Ukraine;
• provides scientific and methodological assistance in setting up teaching the history of science and technology in higher and secondary school;
• popularizes and promotes the history of science as an integral part of the history of culture; takes participation in the organization and holding of conferences, seminars and symposiums, however, the society does not carried out financial and economic activities. The Institute cooperates with specialists from leading universities of Ukraine and academic institutes – Institute of Electric Welding named after E. O. Paton of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, National Botanical

Hryshka, Institute of Sociology of the NAS of Ukraine, Institute of Philosophy of the NAS of Ukraine, National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute", National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute", Dnipro National University named after O. Honchar, State University infrastructure and technologies, Odessa National Polytechnic University, Enerhodar Institute of State and Municipal Administration named after R.H. Khenokh "Classical private university", Private higher educational institution “Nikopol Economic University”, Ukrainian Humanitarian Institute, State University of Infrastructure and Technologies, etc. The Institute’s researchers are members of the working group creating the Virtual Museum of the NAS Ukraine (A.S. Lytvynko). A.S. Lytvynko and Yu.O. Khramov developed in co-authorship concept of the museum exposition and materials prepared on the history of the NAS of Ukraine in socio-political and cultural-historical contexts for filling the portal museum, in particular biographical information of scientists, after whom scientific awards and names are named, which were assigned to academic institutes; list and information about scientific schools of the NAS of Ukraine; list of key achievements of scientists of the NAS of Ukraine; brief history of creation Ukrainian Academy of Sciences in dates, events and facts. The Institute does not have specialized academic councils for the defense of candidate and doctoral theses dissertations. Coordination activities were carried out by the leading scientists of the Institute through their participation in specialized dissertation defense councils:

• at the Institute of Philosophy of the NAS of Ukraine, specialised academic council D 26.161.01… specialty 033 "Philosophy" (V.I. Onoprienko);
• at the National Scientific Agricultural Library of the National Academy agrarian sciences, specialized academic council D 26.280.02 in the specialty 07.00.07 “History science and technology" (V.M. Gamaliya) are briefly described. Cooperation continued with the Department of Bibliometrics and Scientometrics of the National Library named after V.I. Vernadsky and with the State Institution "National Antarctic Scientific Center" V.I. Vernadsky Library and the State Institution "National Antarctic Science Center" MES of Ukraine within the framework of the implementation of scientific and technical projects under the State Targeted science and technology programme for Antarctic research, 2011–2020 (V.P. Rybachuk).

In addition, coordination was carried out through the participation of the Institute's employees in the following composition:

The Center for Innovation and Technological Development is a member of the public organization Social Innovation Network of Ukraine (SIMU), which participates in the expert assessment

Legislative and regulatory acts of Ukraine, coordinates its activities with the most active public communities that are interested in the development of science and innovations (V.P. Solovyov – coordinator of SIMU). As part of scientific work at the Institute of Evolutionary Economics (IEE), coordination of research works, training of analysts in macroeconomic forecasting, in particular in the institutes of the NAS of Ukraine, meetings of the IEE Analysts Club (I.P. Makarenko). A regular seminar, ‘The information society: achievements and challenges’, was organised to discuss current issues of the development of the information society and popularization of science. Frequency: monthly from September to May. Place holding: Kyiv House of Scientists (O.P. Kazmina, S.O. Zhabin). Expert, consulting and methodological work was carried out in cooperation with the Institute economic research and policy consultations on the development of tourism as a factor economic growth in Cherkasy Region (O.P. Kazmina). Together with the Ukrainian Society of Historians of Science, the Institute employees coordinate scientific work in the field of history of science in Ukraine (as professional historians science and scientists in various fields studying the history of the development of their discipline). At The Republican Seminar on the History of Science is operating in the Department of History and Sociology of Science and Technology (Yu.O. Khramov). The Institute is the publisher of a scientific journal, which is included in the list of professional publications Higher Attestation Commission of Ukraine: “Science and Science of Science” (in the field of economic sciences).
