International scientific journal published since 1993 State Institution "Dobrov Institute for Scientific and Technological Potential and Science History Studies of the NAS of Ukraine".
The journal was created on the basis of the republican interdepartmental scientific collection "Science and Informatics", which was published by the G. M. Dobrov Center for Research on Scientific and Technical Potential and History of Science of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine from 1969 to 1992.
The international editorial board of the journal includes specialists from Ukraine, Latvia, Germany, Great Britain and Norway.

The purpose of the journal is to clarify the development of science and scientific knowledge in historical, modern and prospective aspects; to reveal the impact of science on the economy, culture, education and other spheres of life; to analyze social, environmental, military and other aspects of scientific research; to develop problems of state scientific, technical and innovation policy; to initiate discussions in the scientific and public environment regarding the state of science and its capabilities to solve pressing problems.
The journal is aimed at various groups of readers - specialists in scientific research (scientists, organizers of science, philosophers, historians of science), and a wide range of readers.
