1. B.A. Malitskyi Science, technology, innovation and national security: theoretical and applied aspects. – K.: Fenix, 2014. – 34 p.
The title of the work combines two topics that are usually considered completely independent and are considered in scientific literature and especially in the practice of public administration in Ukraine without strict dependence on each other. When it comes to the scientific and technological sphere in the context of national security, it is mainly meant that this sphere in Ukraine is in a critical state for its development and this threatens national security. In turn, when considering the issues of national security, scientific and technical activity is considered as one of the many components of this social phenomenon.
We aim to show that in fact the scientific and technical sphere plays a significantly more important, namely fundamental, role in the national security system. It, together with the education system and scientific and technical creativity of people, serves as a source of intellectual resource production for the development and support of the activities of all components of national security: economic prosperity, socio-political stability, defense capability. This study is devoted to substantiating the role of science, technology and innovation in the specified context, the existence of interrelations between the scientific and technological sphere and the national security system, the imbalance between which generates corresponding threats to national security.
In the title of the work, two topics are combined into a single whole, which are usually considered quite independent and are considered in the scientific literature and especially in the practice of state administration in Ukraine without strict dependence on each other. When we talk about the scientific and technological sphere in the context of national security, it basically means that this sphere in Ukraine is in a critical state for its development and this threatens national security. In turn, when considering the issue of national security, scientific and technical activity is considered as one of the many components of this social phenomenon.
We want to demonstrate that science and technology truly plays a vital, indeed fundamental, role in the national security system. Together with the education system and scientific and technical creativity, it serves as a source of intellectual resources for the development and support of all components of national security: economic prosperity, socio-political stability, and defense capability. This study is devoted to substantiating the role of science, technology, and innovation in this context, as well as the interconnectedness between science and technology and the national security system, the imbalance between which gives rise to corresponding threats to national security.

3. Mochalov I.I., Onoprienko V.I. V.I. Vernadsky: Science. Philosophy. Man. Book 2. Science and its Tools: Logical and Methodological Aspects of I.I. Mochalov, V.I. Onoprienko. – Kyiv: Information and Analytical Agency, 2012. – 631 p. (36.74 ed.).
V.I. Vernadsky is one of those classic 20th-century scientists who inherently sought a philosophical understanding of the research tools and conceptual apparatus used to solve scientific problems. This second book focuses on the problems of logic and methodology of scientific research. Although Vernadsky was well acquainted with the works of philosophers and methodologists of various schools, he formed his own opinion on virtually every issue, backed by appropriate arguments. It is precisely the originality of his thought, the non-triviality, and the soundness of his arguments that attract readers to his reflections even today. Along with the problems of the truth and reliability of scientific knowledge, logic and reality, scientific rationality and empirical experience, and the consideration of the nature of scientific fact, analogy, hypothesis, and theory, Vernadsky puts forward and analyzes the concepts of the structure of science as a whole, the skeleton of science, the scientific apparatus, scientific axioms, and principles, which are imbued with original meaning.
V.I. Vernadsky goes back to those classics of science of the twentieth century, which were immanently applied to the philosophical understanding of the methods of investigation and the conceptual apparatus, which was established for the advancement of scientific tasks. This other book is centered around problems of logic and methodology of scientific research. Although Vernadsky was well acquainted with the work of philosophers and methodologists in various directions, he actually formed a powerful thought with a convincing argument for any food. The very originality of the thought, the non-triviality and groundedness of the arguments attract the reader to his thoughts even today. In relation to the problems of truth and reliability of scientific knowledge, logic and reality, scientific rationality and empirical evidence, consideration of the nature of scientific fact, analogies, hypotheses, theories, Vernadsky hangs and analyzes the concept of the structure of science as a whole, the framework of science, the scientific apparatus, scientific axioms and principles, which are on top of the original substitution.

8. Malitsky B.A. Neoliberalism and the crisis of innovative development of the economy. The formula of the crisis. – Second edition. – K.: Phoenix, 2013. – 64 p. – (in Russian).
For the first time in the domestic literature, the work analyzes the influence of neoliberal market relations on the innovative development of the economy. It is shown that ultimately this influence is negative. This is due to the fact that the inherent property of neoliberalism is to displace the innovative factor from among the main sources of economic growth and elevates financial capital to this role, turning it into a relatively independent method of profit accumulation. But such capital accumulation, which has little connection with real material production, is fictitious in many respects.
Excessive financialization of the economy by planting the neoliberal market doctrine goes beyond social and economic rationality and leads to a reduction in the role of the innovative factor in ensuring economic growth in developed countries and to its complete displacement in less developed ones. In combination with the onset of the phase of transition to new technological systems in recent years, this has led to a decrease in the stability of the world economic system and national economies using the orthodox neoliberal market model, and to their collapse into crisis.

Gavriil Ivanovich Goretsky (1900-1988) was an outstanding Quaternary geologist, paleogeographer, stratigrapher and archaeologist. A contemporary of the century, he expressed all the contradictions of the era through his fate and talent. At the age of 28, he was elected to the first faculty of the Belarusian Academy of Sciences as an economist-geographer and demographer, an active participant in the national revival. Two years later, he was repressed, expelled from the academic staff as an "enemy of the proletarian dictatorship." Since 1931, he was in camps in Karelia and on the Kola Peninsula, during the construction of the White Sea-Baltic Canal. Released early in 1934, he continued to work at NKVD hydraulic facilities in northern Russia. Thanks to the talent of the researcher and remarkable work capacity, he became a specialist in engineering geology, participated in the design and construction of dozens of hydraulic structures, and was the chief geologist of defence works near Leningrad and Moscow. Later, he worked in the Hydroproject system on the Kama, Volga, Don, Manyche, and Dnieper. His engineering and geological research formed the basis of the construction of many hydraulic structures. He collected the most unique material on the alluvium of the rivers of the East European Plain. Over the course of a year (1945-1946), he defended his candidate's and doctoral theses. He created a grandiose project dedicated to the great ancestors of the Russian Plain, which is still relevant, and was awarded the State Prize of the USSR. Returning to his homeland after rehabilitation and restoration at the Academy of Sciences, he organised large-scale research on the anthropogens of Belarus, formed a scientific school of Quaternary geologists, and founded a new science - paleopotamology. He devoted a lot of effort to the rehabilitation of his brother Maksym Goretsky, a classic of Belarusian literature, who died in prison, and to the return of his literary heritage.

Mochalov I. I., Doctor of Sciences in Philosophy, Professor, Chief Researcher of the Institute of the History of Natural Science and Technology named after S.I. Vavilov, Russian Academy of Sciences.
V.I. Vernadsky is very characteristic of a high level of reflection in relation to scientific activity and scientific work. Throughout his life, he was interested not only in specific subjects of science, which he was engaged in as a researcher (and their spectrum was unusually wide), but also in science as a whole, its nature, the ways of its movement, the laws of development, forms of organization, the nature of scientific creativity, the relationship of science with other types of creativity, the role of science in the economy and society. For V.I. Vernadsky was not indifferent to topics such as the development of forms of communication among scientists, the history of scientific schools, communications, publications, the history of norms and criteria of values in the scientific community, the social responsibility of scientists, etc. He connected key events in the development of science with the activities of various researchers united within the disciplinary structure of science. The history of science is considered by him in connection with competition, controversy between scientific schools, in connection with the development of competing concepts and methods. His appeal to the problems of logic, methodology, sociology of science, psychology of scientific creativity, as well as other outstanding scientists of the 20th century, stimulated their development as philosophers, logicians, sociologists, and psychologists. For a wide range of readers.

The book features interviews with Ukrainian and Russian scientists who occupy active research positions in modern science. The author conducted conversations with representatives of various scientific specialties for whom the "research drive" is one of the main dominants of their lives. By and large, there aren't many such people, as scientific activity is characterized by numerous other motivations that often overshadow the pursuit of scientific inquiry. The main theme of these interviews is the formation and development of a researcher's creative talents, the influence of family, university, professional environment, communication, and self-affirmation within the scientific community. This is a book of researchers' thoughts and reflections on their scientific paths. Scientists also share their thoughts on the current state of science in society, its problems, and ways out of its protracted crisis.

Economic sciences. Popovych O.S. Strategic management [Text]/: course of lectures/ O.S.Popovych. – K.: NTUU "KPI", 2011. – 260 p. (15,11). – 500 notes.
The publication was prepared on the basis of the original course of lectures read by Doctor of Economics Popovych O.S. to 5th year students of the Faculty of Management and Marketing of the National Technical University of Ukraine "KPI".
This one differs from many already published courses of lectures on strategic management primarily in that it is organically tied to the situation in the economy of Ukraine. Not limited to traditional approaches to strategic analysis, the author pays great attention to the specifics of domestic innovation legislation, scientific and technological and innovation policy of the Ukrainian state, as one of the most important factors in the formation of an environment conducive to the development of innovative business and its strategic orientation. Perhaps for the first time in domestic literature on this issue, the author is not limited to the level of an individual enterprise, but introduces the reader to the problems of strategic management at the state level. The course of lectures is written taking into account the latest approaches to strategic management, which are not yet reflected in domestic textbooks on this discipline. When developing the program of this course, the author fully used his own scientific achievements on the problems of managing scientific and technological and innovative development, technological forecasting and methods of problem-oriented assessment of innovative potential.

The space of science is a particular place, or topos, in which scientific propositions (knowledge) and institutions exist, each with its own “places”, “structures” and “functions”. They are therefore perceived phenomenologically as “here”, “now” or Heidegger’s “Dasein”. Even when considering the temporal or historical existence of scientific space, its “being” has meaning only as a particular place or topos—that is, as space. What “was” is not itself science: it is a particular text. For that text to be “scientific”, a researcher must carry out the relevant scientific procedures within the space of science. There is no science without a researcher. This is the central idea of the monograph. Science is understood as the topos of researchers’ activities; this approach to studying science is expressed through the concept of the “topology of science”.

For the first time in Ukrainian scholarship, the work analyses how neoliberal market relations affect innovation-driven economic development. It argues that their overall impact is negative because neoliberalism tends to displace innovation as a primary source of economic growth and elevate financial capital to that role, making it a relatively independent means of accumulating profit. However, such capital accumulation, weakly connected to actual material production, is largely fictitious.

Edited by Luca Iandoli, Hans Landström and Mario Raffa. EE, September 2007, pp. 223–251. (Chapter ‘The role of gender in entrepreneurship in a transition economy’, in the monograph ‘Entrepreneurship, competitiveness and regional development: frontiers in European entrepreneurship research’.) (0.8 printed sheets).
The authors investigate characteristics of female entrepreneurship in transition context including motivation for starting business, business performance and main barriers to success in an unfavourable environment. Empirical data were collected in a sociological survey in Ukraine and Moldova, which sample included both female entrepreneurs and a control group of male entrepreneurs. Gender differences identified concerned fewer resources available for women to start-up a company, lower level of embeddedness of female entrepreneurs in business community and more family-related motives for doing business. The authors conclude that gender plays an important role for business survival and female business owners constitute a significant potential for the development of private entrepreneurship in transition countries.
