Dobrov Institute is a budgetary non-profit scientific institution, founded on state property, is under the jurisdiction of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and is directly subordinate to the Presidium of the NAS of Ukraine.
Key areas of activity:
- Conducting scientific research in the field of science studies, history of science and technology and innovation;
- Coordination of scientific research conducted in other institutions of the NAS of Ukraine in the field of science, history of science and technology, innovation;
- Generalization of experience, long-term trends, patterns and justification of means of solving problems of development of scientific and technical potential of Ukraine in the context of development of world science and tasks of building knowledge economy and knowledge society in Ukraine;
- Scientific and organizational support for the implementation by scientific institutions and departments of the NAS of Ukraine of comprehensive analytical and forecasting research on the scientific and technological development of Ukraine;
- Historical and science studies analysis of the experience, state and justification of the prospects for the scientific, technical and socio-economic development of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, increasing its role in society as the highest scientific self-governing organization of Ukraine.
